Brakes
Check the front and rear brake systems and
report. Replace brake pads
or shoes with a premium grade of friction material. This material tends to last
longer. Resurface drums or rotors or replace if
necessary. This allows the new friction to break in properly and reduces any
tendency of the brakes to squeal. Recondition or replace calipers or wheel cylinders to
minimize the possibility of hydraulic leaks and extend the life of the new disc
pads or shoes.
Replace disc or drum brake hardware as
required. Worn and fatigued hardware increases the risk of brake squeal and
premature friction wear. Inspect
the master cylinder for leaks; replace or repair if necessary. Inspect steel brake lines and hoses for
leaks, cracks or indication of imminent failure; replace if necessary. Inspect and adjust parking brake
cables; lubricate or replace if necessary. Incomplete release of parking brakes
causes premature friction wear. Repack or replace wheel bearings where required; replace
grease seals to prevent leaks from developing. Flush and refill the brake system with new fluid. Break
fluid absorbs moisture over time, causing corrosion within the brake system.
Brake fluid should be periodically flushed and refilled to minimize the
development of corrosion.
Alignment
Front-end - Check shock absorbers, struts and steering
components. A good suspension system improves the smoothness of your ride and keeps your wheels in
proper contact with the road, which is vital to safe steering,
braking and reduces tire wear.

Nitrogen fill in tires
Available at the Kenmount Road location. Call 739.6660
What is Nitrogen?
Nitrogen is a dry, inert gas used to inflate airplane tires, off-road truck tires, military vehicle tires, and race car tires for improved performance, more tire mileage, better fuel economy, and increased safety.
Why use Nitrogen?
- More consistent tire pressure.
- Reduced wheel corrosion.
- Prevents inner-liner rubber deterioration due to oxidation.
- Tires run cooler.
- Increases tread life.
- Increases fuel mileage.
- Helps prevent uneven wear.
- Oxygen in compressed air permeates through the wall of the tire, thus reducing the tire's inflation pressure. During it's journey through the tire wall, oxygen oxidizes the rubber compounds in the tire, causing under-inflation and deterioration of the rubber . Dry nitrogen will maintain proper inflation pressure and will prevent auto-ignition, will not corrode rims, extends valve core life, and will help the tire to run cooler.
